A Special Power of Attorney Mexico (Poder Notarial Especial) is a formal legal instrument under Article 2553 of the Código Civil Federal (CCF) by which a grantor (poderdante) delegates authority to an attorney-in-fact (apoderado) to perform one specific, precisely defined legal act or a limited set of closely related acts on the grantor's behalf. Unlike the Poder Notarial General — which confers broad ongoing authority across administration, ownership, and litigation — the Poder Especial is purposefully narrow: it identifies the exact transaction, asset, institution, or proceeding for which the authority is granted, and it automatically terminates upon the completion of that act.
