Legal Templates Dataset
An open, multilingual collection of 19,000+ statute-referenced legal document templates across 36 jurisdictions, built and maintained by the founder (a non-lawyer). No individual document is reviewed by a lawyer.
What This Dataset Is
Forms Legal maintains a structured library of legal document templates covering business, employment, real estate, estate planning, financial, personal, and government categories. Every template is grounded in the official statutory and government sources for its jurisdiction — the German BGB, Austrian ABGB, Swiss OR and ZGB, Indian Contract Act 1872, UK Companies Act 2006, and the equivalent codes for each of the 36 countries covered — then validated against those statute references through automated quality assurance. A mirror of the collection is published on Hugging Face for researchers and machine-learning use.

Provenance & Limitations
Templates are reference documents produced through legal research, AI-assisted drafting, and automated statute-reference validation, built and maintained by the founder (a non-lawyer). No individual document is reviewed by a lawyer. They are not legal advice and do not create an attorney–client relationship. Laws vary by jurisdiction and change over time; consult a licensed attorney for advice specific to your situation. Our sourcing and correction standards are described in our Editorial Guidelines and Accuracy Policy.
